Community Fund Supporting the local hospital The close knit community of Warragul and Drouin had a night out to fund a palliative bed for the West Gippsland Hospital. A dinner, dance and charity auction held by the Rotary Club and sponsored by ANZ was just the thing to raise funds for this important community asset. With the assistance of the ANZ Community Fund the local ANZ branches donated $10,000, .a significant contribution to the total amount raised of just over $20,000. Those involved were so eager to get the funds the hospital, a local Rotarian tried to bank the over-sized presentation cheque at the Drouin branch! |
